The season ended much too early for Colorado Avalanche fans, despite the fact that the team overachieved for much of the season. Frankly, not many analysts predicted that the Avs would get past the Calgary Flames in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but not only did they do that, but they ended up pushing the San Jose Sharks to Game 7 in round two.

On top of that forwards Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen emerged as true star players this season and rookie defenseman Cale Makar looks poised to take a run at the Calder Trophy in 2019-20. In business parlance, things are trending upward for the Avs. And one sign of a team on the rise is a tight that is tight with one another. Case in point, this hilarious exchange between Avs superstar Nathan MacKinnon and hulking blue liner Nikita Zadorov.

For those unable to follow the comments, here’s how it plays out:

MacKinnon: How many chins?
Zadorov: As many as you have Hart trophies
MacKinnon: didn’t know I’ve won 6 MVPs

Boom! Shots fired on both ends!
