Babcock brutally picks apart his own players!
Keystone Press

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock's post-game press conference was short, but certainly not sweet.

After his team fell 6-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, Babcock faced the media and had nothing good to say about his own players.

“[We were] non-competitive right from the start to the end, said Babcock. "They deserved to win; we didn’t deserve to win. We didn’t work; they worked. They were organized; we were unorganized. They were prepared; we were unprepared."

Although he appeared absolutely pissed off, Babcock made sure to pinpoint the right emotion he was feeling after the loss.

“Frustrated is a waste of time. [You’re] disappointed. We were no good. It’s always a concern when you don’t play good. But I’m not going to do anything tonight to make it worse. I’ll skirt around stuff, I’ll deal with the team tomorrow (Friday).”

It was Toronto's second loss in three games, and each of the defeats this season has been by the same 6-3 score.

Listen to what Babcock had to say, and try not to grinch...
