Big line up change for Toronto.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be making a change to their line up, but it doesn't seem like it's a change they wanted to make.

Head coach Mike Babcock has confirmed that the Leafs will be using veteran forward Patrick Marleau as a center on Wednesday night when they face off against the Anaheim Ducks, a surprising change to say the least.

“We didn't acquire him to play him in the middle, to be honest with you," said Babcock as per The Athletic. "That wasn't our plan, it's sure not our intent. It's just what we're doing right now.”

The Leafs have a number of centers on their roster making this a curious move, one that would appear to suggest that Babcock is not happy with the performance he has gotten from those players this season.

While Babcock has not mentioned any names there are a number of fingers being pointed at Maple Leafs veteran Tyler Bozak, and one has to wonder what Bozak's future with the Leafs could look like if Marleau shines at the position.

There will be a lot of lines on the Marleau line tonight which will have him playing with both James van Riemsdyk and Connor Brown.
