Team Canada easily won their exhibit game tonight against the Czech Republic by a score of 8-0, their last game before the official roster announcement.
According to Bob McKenzie, Hockey Canada contacted a few NHL teams today and got formal rejections from Arizona, Toronto, New-York (Islanders) and Philadelphia.
The only eligible players currently playing in the NHL are: Jakob Chychrun, Lawson Crouse, Mitch Marner, Anthony Beauvillier, Travis Konecny and Connor McDavid. Again, according to Bob McKenzie, Hockey Canada didn't even try to reach the Edmonton Oilers for a loan and it's easy to figure out why.
Dylan Strome, Julien Gauthier, Thomas Chabot, Matthew Barzal and Mitchell Stephens are the only players remaining from last year's edition.
