Capitals' Barry Trotz adds new job to resumé.

Being the head coach of a winning team is already a full time job. You have to look at different strategy, make sure all your players are functioning 100% and manage the overall process of a NHL team. Many would think that just that job would be enough, but apparently Capitals. Barry Trotz looks to be even busier. 

According to Eliotte Friedman, Trotz is set to become a new member of the competition committee. 

“Ken Hitchcock and Barry Trotz are new members of the competition committee, representing the coaches. Excellent choices. No details yet on when the group will meet.”

This is actually a very important job to get, as this committee is directly working on the league's rules changes each year. They put together proposals that are then submitted to the GMs in their ponctual meetings to be approved and implemented. Basically, the committee have a big role in the league's future, and an experienced guy like Trotz can certainly bring an interesting input to the process.
