Big change from NHL hints at ongoing contract dispute.

The Vancouver Canucks have made a big change to their promotional plans, and it's an indication that they may be having more trouble in contract negotiations than they have let on.

According to a report from Rick Dhaliwal of 1130 News, the Vancouver Canucks have canceled the plans they had to send forward Bo Horvat to the National Hockey League's media tour in New York this week, due to the fact that they have been unable to reach a deal with Horvat.

Taking the place of Horvat will be defenseman Chris Tanev, another of the Canucks more popular players, and one has to wonder how happy he will be to have to show up for a media event in the place of his teammate.

There has been speculation that the Canucks have been close to a deal with Horvat for well over a week now, but a deal has consistently failed to materialize and this is the biggest indacator yet that it may take some time to get done yet.
