The Chicago Blackhawks have been hit hard by injuries to key players this season but they finally got a bit of good news on Monday.

Both Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews and defenseman Brent Seabrook made have seemingly taken meaningful steps in their recovery, so much so that a report from Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus has revealed that both men will be traveling with the Blackhawks on their upcoming road trip. It's not a gurantee, but it does seem to be an indication that they are expected to play at some point on the road trip.

While it's still too early to say that both Toews and Seabrook are once again 100% healthy, there is now significant room for optimism when it comes to both men returning to action, and we will likely know more in the coming days as they get closer to making their way back into the line up.
