Blackhawks forward expected to miss multiple games due to injury.

The Blackhawks got some bad news coming off the holiday break.

After it was initially reported that Marian Hossa would be listed as day to day after suffering an injury during a December 20th loss to the Ottawa Senators, most expected the holiday break to provide plenty of time for the Blackhawks veteran forward to bounce back, they were wrong.

Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times is now reporting that Hossa is expected to miss several more games due to the injury, although just how many is unclear. 

According to Lazerus Hossa is "hopeful" that he can return prior to the Winter Classic which is schedule for January 2nd, although the choice of the word hopeful obviously leaves open the possibility that he may not recover soon enough to make that game.
