It sounds like Patrick Kane may be lobbying for one of his buddies to get a nice new contract.

According to a report from Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times Stan Bowman, the general manager and master mind behind the incredibly successful Blackhawks has hinted at his next big signing, and he also hinted at the fact that Kane may have some influence on it. Bowman was asked if he would look to extend breakout sensation Artemi Panarin over the summer:

"Patrick Kane would be pretty upset if we didn't," answer Bowman.

Although he is 24 years old, Panarin is technically an NHL rookie, and with 46 points in 53 games has been a game changer for Chicago, and has found terrific synergy with superstar Patrick Kane. Something tells us Patrick Kane won't be the only man upset in Chicago if this deal doesn't get done.
