The Blackhawks will host the Vegas Golden Knights this evening. Only the Rangers have played as few games as Chicago with 6 games played and both teams are off to rough starts this season. The Blackhawks are 2-3-1 so far this season and will look to play for 50% tonight.

The Golden Knights on the other hand are doing pretty well early in the season with a record of 6-4-0 in 10 games. Marc-André Fleury is faring particularly well as he earned his 445th career win on Saturday in an incredible shutout victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins. With a win tonight Fleury would pass Terry Sawchuck for the 6th rank on the NHL's all-time wins list for a goaltender.

In front of the cage for the Blackhawks will be Robin Lehner. Veteran and Stanley Cup winner Corey Crawford has had a very difficult time so far this season and will need to regain sharpness and confidence in order to start for Chicago.

Kirby Dach, the 3rd overall pick in the 2019 NHL entry draft is going to play his second game in the NHL after his debut a few days ago. He will be looking to get a first point in professional hockey as he was scoreless for his NHL debut as well as over his three first professional games with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs this season.

Here is the projected lineup for the Chicago Blackhawks for this evening's matchup against Vegas according to Scott King, correspondent for NHL.com:

Forwards:

Alex DeBrincat - Jonathan Toews - Andrew Shaw

Dylan Strome - Kirby Dach - Patrick Kane

Brandon Saad - David Kampf - Dominik Kubalik

Drake Caggiula - Ryan Carpenter - Alexander Nylander

Defensemen:

Duncan Keith - Connor Murphy

Olli Maata - Brent Seabrook

Calvin de Haan - Erik Gustafsson

Goaltenders:

Robin Lehner

Corey Crawford

Forwards Brendan Perlini and Zack Smith will be healthy scratches for tonight's game along with defenseman Slater Koekkoek.

As for the Vegas Golden Knights, their line up will feature a very strong offensive core. Mark Stone is red-hot with 13 points in 10 games this season. Max Pacioretty is also enjoying a good start to the 2019-20 season.

The Golden Knights played yesterday in Philadelphia and lost 6-2. Attrition might set in for them, but nothing is won yet for the Blackhawks. It should be a great hockey game.
