The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to face off against the Chicago Blackhawks this evening in what will likely prove to be a hotly contested game between two teams that very much want to come out of this one with a win. The Blackhawks however will be coming at the Maple Leafs with something of a different look this evening, thanks in part to some good news on the injury front for the boys from Chi-town.

According to a report from Chicago Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus, it now appears as though veteran forward Brandon Saad will make his long awaited return to the lineup this evening after being activated following an injury. Saad has been out of the lineup since early December due in large part to an ankle injury he suffered earlier in the season. There was some expectation that he would return to the lineup today and now that news has officially been confirmed.

That will not be the only change to the lineup this evening however as the powerful Maple Leafs offense will go head to head with multiple time Stanley Cup winning goaltender Corey Crawford. Now it may seem like an odd move to choose Crawford over starting goaltender Robin Lehner here, however the Blackhawks are appearing in back to back games this weekend which means that the Blackhawks likely decided that Lehner would be better utilized against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
