Blackhawks prospect makes defender look stupid before scoring a highlight-reel goal!

One of the Blackhawks' brightest prospects is lighting it up for his university, and managing to turn our heads as well.

During Friday night's NCAA action between North Dakota and Western Michigan, Fighting Hawks' forward Nick Schmaltz absolutely undressed a defender before tucking a beautiful marker behind the helpless goaltender.

Schmaltz breaks into the zone after receiving a pass from a teammate and manages to get around the defenseman by putting the puck between his legs. He then goes wide on the goaltender and pots the puck in from behind the goal.

Schmaltz added three assists to this marker in an 8-1 win for North Dakota.

The 20-year old was the Chicago Blackhawks' 20th overall selection in the 2014 NHL Draft. He now has 34 points in 29 games in NCAA play this season.

He certainly has some slick moves that are getting noticed.
