Blackhawks sign two players off the bat as soon UFA market opens!

The Chicago Blackhawks did not waste any time on Friday, signing two players right off the bat as soon as the unrestricted free agent market opened. 

The Hawks therefore announced that rookie Dominik Kubalik has been re-signed for two years with a $3.7 million cap hit, which is considered a bridge deal with a medium cap hit. This gives the kid an opportunity to keep up his production in order to land a much bigger contract later on. 

The team also signed Malcolm Subban for two years with a $850,000 cap hit, opening the market with strong statements.
