Blackhawks star’s favorite English word comes as no surprise!

You gotta love Panarin answer to the question: What is your favorite word?

Artemi Panarin seems to be thoroughly enjoying his second season in the NHL. The phenomenal 25-year-old winger has learned a lot after two years in North America.

Sure, he’s found his fit in the Chicago system, adjusted to the ice size and NHL style, and even excelled while doing so.

But he’s also managed to do a great job learning English, any idea what his favorite word is?

That shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, Panarin followed his debut 30 goals, 77-point season with a 31-goal, 74-point effort this season. And from the looks of things, he’s all smiles about it.

Panarin attitude and revelry may be almost as important as his scoring ability, especially as the pressure of playoff hockey starts to mount. Keeping things light, even when in dire circumstances, is essential to player and team performance.

But how well does Panarin’s attitude stack up when things aren’t going right? Well, he doesn’t seem at all phased by the fact that he lost out on $1,725 million bonus by a single point. If Panarin notched just a couple more points, he has cracked the top-10 NHL scorers, making him eligible for that nice million-dollar bonuses.

While those of us watching the salary cap lines might make a big deal out of something like this, Panarin seems to be fully occupied with more important things. And that’s exactly the kind of attitude you want to see from one of your top players heading into the postseason.

Hopefully Panarin can add Stanley Cup Champion to his list of favorite English words in a few weeks.

The Blackhawks take on the Nashville Predators in their first game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday, April 13th.
