Blatant case of embellishment in St-Louis!

Are you kidding man?

Many things could be fixed in the NHL to improve the show, such as letting players fight or removing the shootout in regular games. However, the most annoying thing in the show is embellishment, and we had a clear example today.

The Blues are playing the Predators in St-Louis in an always nice afternoon special. With the score set a 1-0 for St-Louis, this happened.

It's even worst from this angle!

You know what's worst? Viktor Arvidsson played the comedy so well that David Perron caught a slashing penalty on the play! Obviously, coach Yeo was beyond himself.

There's a penalty in the rule book about this kind of Hollywood injury. However, referees tend to stay away from the call, since it's hard to judge what's real and what's not in the fire of an actual game. Anyhow, Bettman and his crew should have a harder look about the issue, because stuff like that hinders the overall experience.
