The Kings have solved their goaltending issue.

According to TVA Sports, the Los Angeles Kings have acquired goaltender Ben Bishop from the Tampa Bay Lightning. According to Aaron Ward, the Lightning will receive defenseman Erik Cernak, goaltender Peter Budaj and a draft pick in the deal.

Bishop was in danger of being poached by the Golden Nights this summer, so the Lightnng deemed it important to get value for him.

The Vezina Trophy runner-up last season is playing in the final year of a two-year, $11.9 million deal. He waived a full no-movement clause in the deal.

The 30-year-old owns a 16-12-3 record this season with a 2.55 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
