Blues’ Binnington suggests one Bruins player is on drugs!

War of words gone too far or truthful revelation?

The Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues offered fans across the NHL quite a physical game on Monday night.

Bruins defenseman Torey Krug was especially into it for Game 1, as he  got into it with Blues forward David Perron in front of Tuukka Rask’s net and launched himself at rookie Robert Thomas, without his helmet on.

Old school hockey.

Blues star goalie Jordan Binnington saw the action and added an important detail in Krug’s behaviour following the hit on his teammate Thomas. The netminder revealed that the blue liner followed it up with a staredown, straight at him, which prompted him to make a questionable comment.

“His pupils were pretty big, maybe he’s on something,” Binnington said.

We get it: the Bruins took a 1-0 lead in the series after a 4-2 win last night and the Blues are looking to get back at them and tie it up en route for the franchise’s first championship, however, this war of words might be going too far…

Just yesterday, Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was spotted on a video with drugs. While he did release a statement, explaining that he does not use drugs and that it was cocaine in a friend’s room and that he left immediately, he could face an investigation by the league.

Let’s be careful with the attacks we make Binnington, or should we start looking into Krug too?
