The St. Louis Blues have been forced to make some rather significant changes to their line up ahead of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final and they are the type of changes that could have a very real impact on the outcome of the game.

First according to a breaking news report from Sportsnet's National Hockey League insider Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, it appears that 24 year old depth forward Zach Sanford will be suiting up for the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night. Sanford has not been regularly used by the Blues this postseason, only appearing in a total of 3 games thus far, but he will be called upon once again due to the suspension to St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist. There has been plenty of controversy regarding the suspension to Sundqvist but the fact is that he will be out for Game 3 and there is no question that Sanford represents a major downgrade from Sundqvist to the Blues line up.

Although Johnston reported at the time that there would be no additional changes to the St. Louis Blues line up there does appear to have been another change to Blues line up for Game 3. According to a report from TSN's Ryan Rishaug is appears that Blues forward Robert Thomas has been ruled out for Game 3 and stepping up to take his place in the line up will be former St. Louis Blues first round draft pick Robby Fabbri. Unlike the previous change this one is nowhere near as negative for the Blues and in fact many Blues fans seem content to see Fabbri, who played a big role in jump starting his line during Game 2 of this series, back in the line up for Game 3.

No word yet on whether or not these will be the only 2 changes prior to the puck dropping later this evening, but if any additional roster moves are made we will be keeping you up to date as they are revealed.
