Blues media prematurely celebrates Game 6 Stanley Cup victory, jinxes team in the process

In case you somehow, some way missed it, the Boston Bruins managed to secure a Game 7 in their Stanley Cup Final matchup against the St. Louis Blues with a gutsy 5-1 road victory last night in Game 6. 

The city of St. Louis was absolutely BUZZING prior to the game and the hometown crowd was anxious to FINALLY celebrate a Stanley Cup victory… alas it was not to be. So, who do we blame? Brad Marchand for opening the scoring? Jordan Binnington for allowing a squeaker or a goal on the game winner? No… it seems like the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is taking most of the heat today.

You see, the St. Louis based newspaper “accidentally” released a number of advertisements that congratulated the Blues on winning the Stanley Cup before the puck even dropped on Game 6. Say what!? That’s just testing the Hockey Gods… are you kidding me!?
