The 31 year old McGinn has played just two games with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers this year, going pointless along the way. He managed just 19 NHL games with the Florida Panthers last season, scoring four goals and seven points.

As for Brouwer, he'll continue to skate and practice with the team in the hopes of earning a proper contract. In total, he has 181 goals and 362 points in 838 career games split between the Chicago Blackhawks, Washington Capitals, Blues, Calgary Flames and Panthers.
