Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky will have to sit out tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers. Colombus coach John Tortorella said Bobrovsky is ''nicked''. The two time Vezina winning goalie is apparently suffering from an undisclosed injury. He will be replaced by Joonas Korpisalo, who will make his 20st start of the season. His backup will be Keith Kinkaid. Bobrovsky has a 31-23-1 record, 2.72 GAA, and .909 save percentage in 55 contests this season. Korpisalo has a 2.91 GAA and a .901 save percentage.

If this is bad news for the Blue Jackets, it will certainly be a relief for the Montreal Canadiens' fans, as Colombus and Montreal are presently fighting fiercly for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets have the upper hand for now, with 84 points, but Montreal is just behind with 83 points. The two teams are also trying to catch up with the Carolina Hurricanes, who are well established at the 7th rank of the Eastern Conference with 87 points and one more game to play.

Montreal has won its last game against the Philadelphia Flyers last tuesday night. As for the Blue Jackets, they lost their two last games against Calgary and Boston. The two teams will meet on March 28th for a game that's sure to raise hell in this really tight last stretch of the season.

While the Oilers have had a disappointing season this year, they still managed to beat Colombus 4-0 earlier this month, so tonight's game will be interesting to watch. Sergei Bobrovsky declined, through a spokesman, to chat with media today. As for the coach Tortorella, he was asked if his word “nicked” suggested Bobrovsky’s injury wasn’t short-term, but he wouldn’t discuss it further.
