The TD Garden, home of the Boston Bruins, has undergone several changes throughout the summer and one is not expected to sit well with fans.

No pun intended.

The TD Garden has changed out their iconic yellow seats for black ones as we can see in a picture published by the arena crew on Tuesday. The arena is expected to make several other changes in years to come as it explained in a press release ahead of the new NHL season.

“Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and the owner and operator of TD Garden, announced last November that a massive, 50,000 square foot and more than $100 million expansion of the 23-year-old arena would be taking place over the next two years.  Now, nearly a year later, there are many exciting updates to share with fans as TD Garden readies itself for the 2019-20 season.”

Most fans on social media are upset with the changes and some are even hoping to be able to buy the former seats as memorabilia in the coming weeks.

I have to say, yellow is better for the TD Garden. It’s sad to see that another easily recognizable feature is removed from an arena.

What do you think?
