Brad Marchand makes some very strong comments after Claude Julien is fired.

It seems safe to say that Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand was not at all a fan of seeing his head coach being fired today.

While Marchand didn't necessarily speak out on behalf of Claude Julien today he did provide some answers to questions that made it very clear he felt this wasn't the right decision from his organization.

Marchand was asked why he felt things would be better with new coach Bruce Cassidy in charge and he gave a scathing response.

"It's not. Hopefully it makes guys realize we need to wake up."

Marchand also admitted that the stories around Julien's job security had become a distraction in the locker room, something many fans and pundits had criticized both Cam Neely and Don Sweeney for not addressing weeks earlier.

Last but certainly not least, Marchand gave the impression that it was the only Bruins locker room left feeling this way today.

"It's tough. Claude is a phenomenal coach. We were very fortunate to have him as long as we did. Tough in the room today."
