TSN’s Pierre LeBrun released the lengthy list of players to hit waivers today at noon.
Expect most of these players to clear waivers and report to their teams’ respective AHL affiliates. Notable players on this list include 2010 first round picks D Dylan McIlrath and G Jack Campbell, picked 10th and 11th respectively in their draft year.
It’s becoming a common trend to see first round picks hit the waiver wire in recent years. Remember that when you blame your GM and scouting staff for drafting duds in the first round – it’s clear drafting isn’t an exact science.
LeBrun added that everyone on the waiver wire Saturday cleared today.
