Trade on the way?!

The Ottawa Senators will be home to both the Detroit Red Wings and a bevy of NHL scouts tonight.

As Bruce Garrioch explains, there are indeed 11 other games on tap tonight around the league, so this is an alarming number of teams scouting this game - especially this early in the season.

It's unclear which of the teams the scouts are most interested in, but Pierre Dorion has been out scouting a lot as of late - and his team has been involved in trade speculation from the big insiders too.

The big name we keep hearing in Ottawa is Kyle Turris - the number one center is set to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this year, and contract negotiations are at a standstill between the player and the club.

The money appears to be agreed upon, but not the term. Turris wants 8 years and as of now, Dorion doesn't appear to be willing to give it.

Turris has 319 points in 542 career games split between the then-Phoenix Coyotes and Ottawa. He returns tonight after missing over a week of action with a viral infection. The timing is definitely interesting.

Chris Wideman has also been involved in trade speculation, but his name definitely doesn't carry the same kind of interest that Turris' does.

How would you feel if Dorion traded Kyle Turris?
