One young National Hockey League center has just become a very wealthy young man.

On Monday the Dallas Stars officially announced that they had come to terms on a three-year deal with 23-year-old restricted free agent Radek Faksa, their former first round draft pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Faksa is coming off his first full NHL season, one that saw him record 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points in 80 regular season games. It's clear that the Stars view him as an important part of their offensive depth moving forward and that's why they have committed an average annual value of $2.2 million to Faksa.

The Stars made the following official statement:

"We're thrilled to have Radek locked in for the next three seasons as he is an important part of what we're building here," said Nill. "He has proven to be a trustworthy, 200-foot player and we fully expect him to continue growing in all areas of his game."
