Breaking: 24 injured after minor league team bus involved in “rollover crash.”

A bus carrying a former National Hockey League affiliate team has reportedly been involved in a rollover crash that has seen 24 people taken to hospital.

According to a report from Andy Kravetz of the Journal Star, a charter bus carrying the Columbus Cottonmouths, now of the Southern Professional Hockey League, to their next game crashed on Interstate 74. At this time it's still unclear at this time what caused the accident but the bus is said to have slide off a ramp.

The status of those injured in the accident is unknown at this time, but according to comments from a team owner that spoke to the Journal Star, one player may still be trapped in the wreck.

"It is our understanding that one member of their traveling party, believed to be a player, was still being extracted on the bus, he had been trapped. It's a very fluid situation and we'll know more as things progress. Our organization is dispatching vehicles now to the hospital to pick up players from the Columbus team and get them transported to their hotel."

Hopefully everyone is going to be ok, and we'll bring you more as this story develops.
