This just in, former long-time Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov is apparently mounting an NHL comeback. NHL player agent Allan Walsh took to Twitter this morning to announce that he now represents Markov and that the 40 year old blueliner is ready to return to the NHL, following two seasons in the KHL with Kazan Ak-Bars.

Check it out:

Markov last played with the Habs during the 2016-17 season, scoring six goals and 36 points in 62 games. In total, he has scored 119 goals and 572 points in 990 career NHL games, all with the Habs.

He put up two goals and 14 points in 49 games with Kazan in 2018-19. He won a Gagarin Cup championship with the team in 2017-18.
