Breaking: 50+ point Dman out long term after brutal jaw fracture

The Boston Bruins have announced that defenseman Torey Krug will be out of the team’s lineup for at least three weeks after suffering a jaw fracture in last night’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

This is devastating news for a Bruins team that can hardly afford to lose anyone from their blue line, let alone their top point producer. In 81 regular season games with the B’s last season, the 26-year-old native of Livonia, MI put up eight goals and 51 points. 

Look for one of the team’s youngsters like Brandon Carlo, Charlie McAvoy or Jeremy Lauzon to step up in Krug’s absence.
