Many NHL teams are seeking help on the defense: could he be a good option?

The Minnesota Wild have made a veteran defenseman available by placing Kyle Quincey on waivers on Wednesday.
Quincey is on a one-year, $1.25MM contract with the Wild but has been quite underwhelming in his 18 games.
The former Detroit Red Wings defenseman has recorded three assists so far this season.
However, a change of scenery could do him some good, as many NHL clubs are seeking help on the back end.
The last game was rough for Quincey, as he found himself on the wrong side of the puck (4 for, 11 against, 26.7 CF%, 2-6 scoring chances) as he was on the ice for three goals against in a 7-2 loss at Winnipeg.
A second chance this season is needed for Quincey.
