Rookie sensation William Nylander has reported for duty today after missing the Toronto Maple Leafs' last game against the Washington Capitals on Saturday due to an upper-body injury. While the nature of his injury was never really revealed, it was clear that it was nothing serious as his status was deemed to be day-to-day.

Nylander joined his teammates minutes ago as the Maple Leafs practice ahead of tomorrow night's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers.

The 20-year-old center tends to fly under the radar as he's often compared to his first-year peers Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, but Nylander is off to a tremendous start this year.

October's Rookie of the Month has six goals and 15 points through the first 20 games of the 2016-2017 regular season schedule, and his return will certainly be a welcomed addition to head coach Mike Babcock's lineup.
