Outside of the Las Vegas Golden Knights who just had their very own draft, the Calgary Flames have arguably been the most active team in this National Hockey League offseason.

On Friday the Flames once again picked up a big win for their fan base, completing a deal with veteran defenseman Michael Stone after what was rumored to be extensive negotiations.

TSN insider Bob McKenzie is reporting that it will be a three-year deal for Stone and furthermore that he will earn an average annual value of $3.5 million on this contract.

Stone was a trade deadline acquisition for the Flames and it appears that his limited time with the time impressed management enough that they were determined to keep him.

Another strong move from the Flames this summer.
