Breaking: Another Calder favorite sent down to the AHL

According to a report from BSN Denver’s Adrian Dater, Colorado Avalanche rookie Tyson Jost is expected to be sent to the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage.

Jost has been out of the Avs lineup since injuring his knee during an awkward fall against the Boston Bruins on October 16th. The Calder Trophy favorite isn’t expected to be in San Antonio long, just long enough to get his timing back and get his conditioning up to NHL level.

In six games this season, the 19-year-old has one goal and two points.

Tyson Jost will play at San Antonio this weekend. This is a demotion in a sense, but more so to get timing back, then come back up after, hopefully, a few more games
