Breaking: Another Canadian city to host the 2020 draft!

It seems like Canada will enjoy another live draft next summer.

According to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, the 2020 NHL draft is expected to take place in Montreal.

The 2019 Draft will take place this Friday in Vancouver. It would be held in a Canadian city for the second consecutive offseason.

Lavoie expects the decision to come from the Board of Governors, meeting today in Vegas ahead of the NHL awards. The decision would only need to be approved at this point.

On Wednesday, the NHL approved and announced that the Montreal Canadiens will host the 2020 Entry draft. The first round will take place on June 26, 2020.
