It appears we have another trade in the National Hockey League.

According to a report Sunday night, from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman the Los Angeles Kings have acquired Kris Versteeg from the Carolina Hurricanes, and it now appears the Hurricanes are going all in on selling at the deadline, after having previously dealt Eric Staal to the Rangers earlier today.

In exchnage for Versteeg the Los Angeles Kins are giving up 20 year old forward prospect Valentin Zykov and a conditional 5th round draft pick, although when that draft pick will come and what conditions are attached is still unclear at this time.

The Carolina hurricanes are already maxed out on salary retention, having held salary for 3 different players, the maximum allowable by any one team at any given time, however Versteeg already has 50% of his slary retained from a previous trade.
