It appears that a large number of National Hockey League teams are targeting a young Canadian forward.

Host of Oilers Now Bob Stauffer is reporting 23-year-old forward Spencer Foo is expected to sign his first National Hockey League contract at some point next month although what team he will choose is anyone's guess.

According to Stauffer the Edmonton Oilers, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, and Las Vegas Golden Knights are all teams he believes could be in the mix here, something that would leave Foo with plenty of options. It has to be said though that he is a native of Edmonton, so that may give the Oilers an advantage over the competition.

Foo is an NCAA free agent and has spent the three previous seasons playing for Union College, although his most recent season is why he is suddenly drawing interest. Foo went off this year, recording 26 goals and 36 assists for 62 points in just 38 games.
