BREAKING: Babcock Names Starting Goalie

As the Toronto Maple Leafs are set to face off against the visiting Los Angeles Kings tonight at the Air Canada Centre, they will look to win their fourth consecutive game.

In order to do so, head coach Mike Babcock has every intention of riding the hot goaltending hand heading into tonight’s matchup, and has thus given Frederik Andersen the nod.

Andersen has played relatively well over the course of the last few games, despite his .885 save percentage against the Vancouver Canucks. Prior to that, he posted a .977 SV% against the Buffalo Sabres, a .957 SV% against the Edmonton Oilers and a .935 SV% in his two previous games as well.

Suffice to say, the goalie acquired during the past offseason is starting to find his groove and emerge as the uncontested number one goaltender for the Maple Leafs after a rather shaky start to the 2016-2017 regular season schedule.
