Several of the National Hockey League first round picks of the 2017 Entry Draft are already in action this season, but one of them will have to take a break, and we don't know for how long.

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that the second pick overall, Nolan Patrick, will not be in uniform tonight to face the Toronto Maple Leafs

The 19-year-old is said to be out with an upper-body injury and will be evaluated on a day to day basis. Patrick suffered the injury in a game against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

He had since returned to practice with his teammates, with the worst-case scenario of a concussion being seemingly avoided, but the young star forward seems to  still feeling the effects of the hit. He will hence miss a second straight contest.

In nine games with the Flyers so far, Patrick has put up just a goal and two assists.
