The Washington Capitals announced earlier this morning that Andre Burakovsky is out with an upper-body injury.
That news will easily be overshadowed by some rumblings at practice.
Alex Ovechkin was partaking in an intense 2-on-2 drill in practice and found his legs tangled up with a teammate, and went down awkwardly.
As reported above, the superstar sniper left practice limping, and didn't return. He'll undoubtedly undergo examination to see if there's a serious injury there.
This would be a huge blow to the Capitals, and to fans of the game.
Ovechkin has 10 goals and an assist in 9 games so far this season.
