What a night in the National Hockey League. As we reported earlier tonight, Montreal Canadiens' forward Phillip Danault took a Zdeno Chara slapshot directly to the head and was taken off the ice in a stretcher. But it wasn't the only scary moment in the NHL.

Vegas Golden Knights forward Pierre Edouard Bellemare also took a shot to the face from Edmonton Oilers' defenseman Darnell Nurse. The 32-year-old athlete was down for a second, but rushed to the locker room with a towel over his face.

According to various reports, Bellemare's visor shattered into his face. This may be the reason why there was so much blood afterwards. Thankfully, he was back on the ice shortly after he left for the locker room.
