The Detroit Red Wings built themselves a new home, a state of the art arena that will likely service the team's needs for decades to come, and it sounds like doing so has earned them the favor of the National Hockey League's commissioner.

During a press conference at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday, Gary Bettman revealed that the city of Detroit Michigan would soon be home to an NHL All-Star Game although he did not provide a specific timeline.

“I’m not sure you can do better than this,” said Bettman when discussing the Red Wings' new facility.

There are now currently rumors that Bettman is waiting for the development projects around Little Caesars Arena to reach completion before he takes the All-Star Game to Detroit, so how far away those projects are from being to Bettman's satisfaction is anyone's guess at this time.

One thing does seem certain though, it's only a matter of time before Little Caesars Arena is home to the NHL All-Star festivities.
