Breaking: Big update on injured rookie superstar Patrik Laine.

The Winnipeg Jets got some very good news on Wednesday morning.

Spotted skating on the ice at practice today was injured Jets rookie superstar Patrik Laine, it was the very first time he had done so since suffering a concussion after taking a huge hit from Buffalo Sabre Jake McCabe.

Head coach Paul Maurice spoke to the assembled media following the Winnipeg Jets practice on Wednesday and would not set a timetable for Laine's return, but without a doubt the news will be well received in Winnipeg today nonetheless.

Laine has been a huge part of the Jets offense this season with 21 goals and 16 assists in his first 42 National Hockey League games, and the sooner he can get back into the line up the better it will be for Winnipeg.
