Breaking: Blues’ Conn Smythe candidate missing from practice!

The St. Louis Blues managed to tie the Stanley cup series at 1 on Wednesday with an impressive 3-2 overtime win over the Boston Bruins and headed home ready to take the lead on Saturday night.

However, fans and pundits are getting worried about the latest update from the Blues’ practice, seeing that one very important player was missing from the skate.

Forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who’s been on an eight-game point streak and recently became a Conn Smythe trophy candidate for the most valuable player of the postseason, did not attend team practice on Friday afternoon.

Tarasenko has been so valuable to the Blues. He tied the game 2-2 at 14:55 of the first period with his fourth goal in as many games. He is one of six players in St. Louis history with a Stanley Cup Playoff goal streak of at least that many games.

However, during Game 2, Tarasenko missed over 10 minutes of action, but the team said it was due to an equipment issue. Fans are now doubting that it was just because of an equipment issue, and wonder if Tarasenko did not injure himself in the contest.

Many believe he is unstoppable, however, something might have come up that could stop him in his track…

Here is the lineup at practice today:

Schwartz - Schenn - Sundqvist
Blais - O’Reilly - Perron
Maroon - Bozak - Fabbri
Sanford - Barbashev - Steen

Edmundson - Pietrangelo
Bouwmeester - Parayko
Gunnarsson - Bortuzzo

Binnington
Allen

Sundqvist, who got suspended for Game 3 for his hit on Bruins' Matt Grzelcyk, is taking part in the skate, however won't be in uniform Saturday. Tarasenko could be inserted back after what could be a rest day.
