The Vancouver Canucks will be playing without standout rookie Brock Boeser tonight as they face the Dallas Stars. Head coach Travis Green confirmed that Jayson Megna will be playing for the injured Boeser.

Boeser, 20, was drafted 23rd overall by the Canucks in 2015. He scored two goals and added seven assists for nine points in eight games played so far in his rookie season. He played two seasons at the University of North Dakota, before he joined the Canucks for the last nine games of the season last year, registering five points in nine games.

Megna, 27, was signed as a free agent by the Canucks in 2016. He played 112 games in the NHL, registering 20 points. So far this season, he had one point in four games played with the Utica Comets (AHL).

Let's hope the kid will not be gone for too long!
