The Boston Bruins have agreed to the terms of a one-year, two-way contract with centerman Austin Czarnik. The deal is worth $675,000 at the NHL level, at $150,000 in the AHL.

Even though Czarnik was a restricted free agent, he decided not to file for arbitration. He previously had a two-year contract with Boston, with an annual average value of $925,000.

The 24-year-old forward played all of his 49 career NHL games last season. He recorded five goals and eight assists for 13 points, as well as 12 penalty minutes. He also played 22 games with the Bruins farm team, the Providence Bruins, in which he racked up six goals and 17 assists for 23 points. He added seven more points in 17 playoff games.

He was undrafted, and signed his first professional contract with Boston in 2015-16, after playing for four seasons in the NCAA.
