As the Ottawa Senators prepare to take on the New York Rangers tonight at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa for game 1 of their second round playoff series, head coach Guy Boucher announced some interesting lineup changes on the team’s blue line.

Veteran defensemen Chris Wideman and Mark Borowiecki will watch from the press box while youngsters Fredrik Claesson and Ben Harpur take their spots in the lineup. While Wideman has been a frequent healthy scratch for the Sens, Borowiecki’s status is affected by a lower-body injured that he sustained in game 2 of the team’s opening round playoff series against the Boston Bruins.

Both Harpur and Claesson saw limited action last round, but with the stakes raised in round two of the Stanley Cup playoffs, it will be interesting to see how the pair handle the increased pressure.
