Breaking: Bruins entertaining trade offers, three teams rumored to be involved.

The Boston Bruins are reportedly listening to a number of trade offers involving a young center who is set to become a restricted free-agent.

Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News is now reporting that the Bruins have entertained offers for 25-year-old Ryan Spooner who has just played out the final season of his current contract with the Bruins organization.

Perhaps even more interesting however are the teams rumored to be involved on the potential deal. Kennedy reports that his sources have informed him that the Vancouver Canucks, New Jersey Devils and, most surprisingly of all, the Las Vegas Golden Knights are all in the mix.

Spooner is a restricted free agent so the team who trades for him will have exclusive negotiating rights on his next deal so he does come with a measure of control. It is possible another team could make a hostile offer but it seems highly unlikely that Spooner would be the target of an offer sheet.

Spooner had a down year with 11 goals and 28 assists in 78 games this season compared to 13 goals and 36 assists in 80 games during the 2015-2016 season, so it will be interesting to see how much value the Bruins can get in return for moving him.
