The Boston Bruins have assigned goaltender Dan Vladar, defenseman Jeremy Lauzon and forward Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson to the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins.

Vladar’s demotion is particularly interesting as he was recalled to help fill the void left by Tuukka Rask, who was been granted a leave of absence from the team to deal with a personal matter. It’s not het known whether Rask is now ready to return, but it’s worth noting that the Bruins don’t return to action until tomorrow evening. As for Vladar, himself, the 21 year old Czech net minder did not see any game action during his recall.

Lauzon has played five games with the NHL Bruins this season, scoring a goal and going +2 along the way. The 21 year old blue liner also has one goal and four points in eight games with the AHL’s Bruins this season. As for Forsback-Karlsson, the 22 year old Swedish centre has played just two games with the NHL Bruins this season, going pointless. He has one goal and four points in nine games with the AHL’s Bruins this season.
