As Bryan Burns, Tampa Bay Lightning beat writer reported, defenseman Mikhail Sergachev will play his tenth game with the team tonight, which will make the first year of his entrey-level contract to kick in. That means Sergachev will play his first entire NHL season.

The 19-year old Russian played nine games with the Montreal Canadiens last season, before being sent back to the Windsor Spitfires (OHL). Tampa Bay acquired him this summer in exchange for forward Jonathan Drouin. Montreal drafted him ninth overall in 2016.

So far this season, Sergachev registered height points in nine games.
