He had to step in to convince the Russian Star

The Montreal Canadiens had to deal with the harsh reality of losing Russian star Alexander Radulov to the Dallas Stars over the week-end, and needless to say their very passionate fans have not been very happy about it.

"[Radulov] is high-end skill," Nill said. "You're always looking to add skill to your lineup, and he adds that. He's a strong skater, and you're adding a heavy body. He's a strong man down low, can hold on to the puck, can make plays. We're adding an elite player to our lineup."

But what made him change his decision after he openly stated by the end of the season he would do anything to stay in Montreal? According to SportsDay, Stars captain and Canadian (not be mistaken with Canadien) superstar Jamie Benn made a call to Radulov to help sell the Stars, and Radulov said Benn is excited by the offseason moves.

"We talked about all different things, about the game. I said you had a good team and they signed three great players in [Martin] Hanzal, and the goalie [Ben] Bishop and [Marc] Methot," Radulov said. "It shows they really want to win."
